My friends all thought I was nuts when I announced that I'd be driving my truck to Mexico to get it fixed.  But I love finding great deals and I love adventure.

I did the necessary due diligence. I called the references that Nouh provided.  I saw scores of before and after photos.  I also looked at the map and saw that I'd be driving on a major highway from the TJ border to Rosarito beach which looked safer to me than driving through towns.

Now that my formerly smashed up truck looks brand new, those naysayers all want to copy what I did.   OBS really delivered beyond my expectations.  So, for the  Yelpers out there, here is an easy step by step guide to how I did it....

1) Introduce yourself to Nouh at OBS by sending a message on WhatsApp, so you don't incur international texting fees.

2) Take pictures all around your vehicle as well as detailed photos of the damaged areas.

3) After chatting with Nouh about the specifics of your job, he will quote you a price and tell you his availability.

4) Drive your vehicle to OBS.  Don't forget your passport!

5) Drop off your vehicle, pay %50 deposit, then take an UBER to the Tijuana border  

6) After crossing the border on foot, it's just a short walk to the tram/train that goes from Tijuana to San Diego.

7) Once in San Diego, exit that train and walk to the other train that goes to Los Angeles.  Buy the 1st class ticket.  Much more comfortable!

8) Once in LA, it's easy to find transportation back to your house.

9) When I went back to Mexico to pick up my finished truck, I decided to rent a car one way, drop it off at the San Diego airport, Uber to the Tijuana border, then Uber (never taxi) to OBS.  From OBS, I drove straight home.  Don't forget to allow for 1-3 extra hours waiting in your car in line at the TJ border.    Had more time been available to me, I would have stayed a couple of nights in an Airbnb in Rosarito beach for a mini vacation.  ‍
